Our farms

Malma Gård & Badene Egendom

N&N Agritours Sweden is a family company with the office on one of our farms. The farming and countryside development work hand in hand with the tour organization.

Eva Maria and Claes Friberg run two farms in the area of Skara; Malma Gård outside Götene and Badene Egendom outside Vara. Our 3 sons are all working with us. Pig farming is the main production with a half integrated production. Sows are rented from a so called “sow pool”. At Badene 115 pregnant sows arrive every 4 weeks, 20 000 piglets are weaned per year. 11 000 of these continue to our own stables for finishing, the rest are sold to nearby farms. We employ 4 people full time, working with the pigs.

The arable farming contains traditional grain and oil seed, protein crops and grass seeds. Most grain is given to our pigs but we also sell seed grain to a nearby grain cooperative. A total of 760 hectares is under plough, a small part of this is organic. Badene belongs to a research organisation called “Odling i Balans” working for a sustainable development of arable farming. https://www.odlingibalans.com/

The owned forest of 550 hectares is at our farms but also close to Lake Vänern. It is mainly spruce but at new plantations we try to have a mix of fur and some deciduous trees. The forest around Malma Gård at Kinnekulle is situated in a scenic and popular area with high nature values and part of the biosphere "Väner archipelago with Kinnekulle. Some is protected as a nature reserve.

There are four wind power plants at Badene. They are owned by neigbours and other in a separate company. The energy is sold to the local power company and bought back to the farm.
